From the start at S.S. 38 Bike in Lana, we cycle along the cycle path to the Merano fraction of Sinich, past the Merano dairy farm in the direction of Trauttmansdorff Castle. We continue along the Sissiweg to Merano, where we learn a lot about the spa town. We cycle through the town on the Passer to Algund and on to a wonderful viewpoint on the Töll.

 

After a photo break, we take the seven hairpin bends of the "small Stelvio Pass" down past the largest brewery in Italy, the Forst, a few metres uphill, with a great view of the Merano racecourse. Finally, we cycle to the Gruberhof winery in Marlengo/Marling and stop for a wine tasting. We cycle back to our starting point on paths with hardly any traffic.
